Private beach area resort on the Bazaruto Archipelago coast
Location & Setting
Archipelago Resort sits six kilometres south of the coastal town of Vilanculos, directly on a private beach area. The resort overlooks the Bazaruto Archipelago and Bazaruto National Park, a marine reserve with five islands. Guests have access to some of the finest snorkelling, diving and big game fishing in the world from this location.
Accommodations
The resort offers spacious Casas surrounded by indigenous trees, each with a fully equipped kitchen and a veranda overlooking the ocean. All Casas have air conditioning, daily housekeeping, and a barbecue outside. Laundry service is provided and is very fast, with clothes washed and ironed within a few hours.
Dining & Bar
The central Sand Dollar Restaurant serves a Mozambique Portuguese style menu, including peri-peri chicken and grilled prawns. The pool bar offers drinks with a view of the beach and sea. Special diet menus and kids' meals are available upon request.
Activities & Recreation
Guests have direct beach access and use of an outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar and shallow end. On-site activities include canoeing, fishing, horse riding, and snorkelling. The resort also has a gym, BBQ facilities, and can arrange boat trips to the islands.
Services & Transport
The resort provides airport pick-up and drop-off services from Vilanculos airport, as well as a shuttle service within the area.
